Replaced the stainless band and all its jingling with a NATO-style nylon band with stripes in the right places and black PVD hardware. Apologies for the potato pics.
With the stopwatch hands resting at 12, they just continue the line from the band through the face. Simple changes can make big differences. At some point I'll take it to the angle grinder and work on that polished finish, but, as far as actual priorities go, that's pretty low.

That was a tasteful addition to the watch. I have never had a Nato strand on a watch but with all the options available I might have to try it

It's not a big fancy expensive watch. But it's built to work for pretty much ever, and I liked the way the face worked, and I do not miss the stainless band at all, and now I have something unique that I think actually improves it in a way that the people who made it hadn't thought of.

Keep the original band. IMO, that band that came with it was perfect.

Stainless steel bracelets can get a little bland after awhile. You made a good choice.
The face does look excellent.

It fit ok on my wrist, but not great on the watch body— the band obviously wasn't made specifically for it. And the jingling drove me nuts. It was so loud, and bland.

To each his own. I prefer the metal bands.

The face is great, right? For a mass-produced watch, it's really clean.

you watch looks very nice, very appropiate for cars. And I love PVD finishes.

The black PVD on the hardware was the only reason I did it.
